Day of the Dead SKULL workshop

Day of the Dead is an interesting holiday celebrated in central and southern Mexico during the chilly days of November 2. Even though this coincides with the Catholic holiday called All Soul’s & All Saint’s Day, the indigenous people have combined this with their own ancient beliefs of honoring their deceased loved ones.

Join Susan in her Denver studio, where all the magic happens, to create your own fanciful SKULL. Learn all of her mosaic secrets as well as a fun group experience.  Susan teaches mosaics as a process, just follow along and you too will be so proud of your creation.

You will have a choice of 2 SKULL sizes, or a 1 or 2 day class project. All substrates are designed and made by Susan, which is what makes these workshops so unique. Most tesserae included but it is always nice to bring your own discarded treasures from home to tell a more personal visual story.

If these dates do not work for you, choose your own weekend, or put your own group together, all you need are 5 friends.  Contact Susan so you can schedule your own fun weekend of mosaics with friends and explore beautiful Colorado!
