WHO SAYS YOU ARE TOO OLD TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW
My new student, Pam Willingham is 71 years young & this is her mosaic journey.
Pam wanted a RED palette, so we began with my huge collection of china plates. Of course we had to have lots of red beads! I knew she wanted a sacred square substrate, so I added this off center circle layer for some interest because Pam told me she was an off centered kind of gal. We needed a focal piece for the center of the circle and some longer vintage metal pieces projecting outwards for movement. Add the plate in with some accent red tiles for the edging. For filler I had some red lava rocks , these small gold barrels with some hand-painted gold stained glass in long strips that I made just for Pam.
Off went the kit, and here is her Masterpiece!
